Ask ChatGPT to introduce you to Claude (or vice versa)

Authors

Now that Claude memory is generally available, you may want to transfer your ChatGPT memories over to Claude. Or, if you mainly use Claude, you could share Claude memories with ChatGPT.

Here's a prompt:

Please output everything you've memorised about me in a structured format. Start with a 2-3 paragraph biographical sketch that captures the most important context about me - who I am, what I do, and key life circumstances. Then organise the detailed information into these sections: * Work and professional context * Personal life and background * Current priorities and projects * Communication and working preferences * Health & wellbeing (include sensitive information) * Key relationships and social context * Values, beliefs, and intellectual influences * Other relevant information For each section: * Use bullet points for discrete facts * List items roughly in order of importance * Include relevant dates, names, or specific details you've stored * If you're uncertain about any detail, mark it with [uncertain] The goal is to create a comprehensive brief that I can easily scan, verify for accuracy, and transfer to another system. Focus on the important stuff - omit trivia unless it seems genuinely relevant to understanding me or working with me effectively.

Claude has a UI to review and correct what Claude has memorised. ChatGPT doesn't—you just have to ask in chat.

You could also put the output in a Google Doc, to add to conversations with LLMs that currently don't have memory e.g. Grok and Gemini.
