I tried Claude Design this week and was very impressed.
Example 1: Quick website refresh
Prompt:
It asks questions to clarify the brief:

Ten minutes later, I have a draft:

The original, for comparison:

Two years ago, this draft would have been 2-6 hours’ work for a web designer. Many, including me, might have made something worse.
Note: 80,000 Hours didn’t ask me to do this, I’m just playing around.
Example 2: Mobile app design
I asked it to develop a new visual identity for my podcatcher app. Again, questions to start:

It made three initial concepts:

To give feedback I can chat with it, comment on the canvas, or draw:

Or I can enter edit mode and just make changes myself:

When I save my edits Claude can see the changes and apply corresponding updates to other parts of the project.
When the design work is done, it generates a hand-off spec for a coding agent to build.
