Examples of mundane utility (add friends to car insurance; add bag to a flight booking; request a product replacement)
Now that browser use is really good, I routinely ask Claude to complete complex admin tasks. Usually it just works, even with weird and clunky websites. The only wrinkle: make sure your Chrome profile is logged-in to the sites you want Claude to work with.
Example 1: Add friends to my car insurance
Prompt:
i need to add two ppl to my car insurance. plz can you handle it?
sophie from 19th june until end july. femke from 19th june until end august.
femke driving license is on gmail.
sophie’s is in whatsapp
With just this prompt, Claude got all the way to the “review your quote” screen.
No further interaction on my part. I didn’t tell it who my car insurer is (it just searched my Gmail).
WhatsApp messages are read via my bridge.
Example 2: Add bag to a flight booking
After reading my morning briefing, I ask Codex:
Hey, do I have hold luggage for my flights next week?
Codex checks flight info from my email, and confirms that I had a bag for outbound but not the return. So I said:
Please add a hold bag to the return.
/pane to Claude
Codex wrote a detailed prompt, then handed off to Claude (using my /pane skill). Claude opens the airline website, and does everything up to the “confirm” screen.
Example 3: Request a product replacement
I received a faulty product. I took photos of the issue, and asked Claude:
this arrived today: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#search/sos/FMfcgzQgMMJWFdLDxQtnBMgGCqCJbqSF
but the item arrived damaged: /Users/ph/Downloads/Photos-3-001/PXL_20260613_151316464.MP-1200w.jpg /Users/ph/Downloads/Photos-3-001/PXL_20260613_151335043.MP-1200w.jpg /Users/ph/Downloads/Photos-3-001/PXL_20260613_151349196.MP-1200w.jpg
plz contact them to request replacement
Claude read the images, correctly identified the damage, and wrote the email. Sent after my review.
