# Codex can redact screenshots (with 100% reliability in a small test)

For [yesterday's post](https://wow.pjh.is/journal/what-my-morning-looks-like), I gave Codex some 20 screenshots, and asked it to visually redact names, financial details, and one confidential project I'm working on.

It did this flawlessly, with roughly the following lazyprompt:

> plz redact names, financial details and any $project\_name references from these screenshots. draw a black box to obscure them, or something.

Perhaps other models can do this too, I've not tried.
