# The Google Docs API now supports comments and suggestions

The Google Docs API is finally getting [full support for adding comments and suggestions](https://developers.google.com/workspace/docs/api/how-tos/suggestions).

Previously, there was no endpoint for adding comments or suggestions to specific parts of the document text. This made our AI agents sad.

The endpoint is only available in developer preview for now, and you must [apply for access](https://goo.gle/WSDevPreview). That's easy to do, and they promise a response within a few days.
