I tried [Claude Design](https://claude.ai/design) this week and was very impressed.

I asked it to develop a new visual identity for my [podcatcher app](https://wow.pjh.is/journal/the-podcatcher-ive-always-wanted). It starts with some questions:

![Intake questions about the app's core personality, screens to restyle, form factor, and how many identity directions to explore](https://wow.pjh.is/static/images/blog/claude-design-intake-personality.jpeg)

It made three initial concepts:

To give feedback I can chat with it, comment on the canvas, or draw:

Or I can enter edit mode and just make changes myself:

When I save my edits Claude can see the changes and apply corresponding updates to other parts of the project.

When the design work is done, it generates a hand-off spec for a coding agent to build.
